The head of Iran's Trade Development Organization said that the ministries concerned with production and consumption are required to examine and prioritize the demands for ordering importation of goods with official currency.

According to Sh.a.t.a, following the publication of a report announcing the suspension of the ordering of goods in the official currency, Mojtaba Khosrowtaj stated:  The reasons for stopping the ordering importation of goods in official currency is that the main ministries responsible for production and consumption are obliged to review and prioritize the applications submitted to the banking system. The head of the Organization for Trade Development added: "Therefore, ministries will determine the importation priorities, which mainly focuses on the supply of basic goods, pharmaceuticals and hospital equipment, raw materials of generative units and machines, by examining applications and announce it through a system to the bank's network for the allocation of foreign currency.
